Investigations: Edmond Papa was executed as revenge for the murder of
Edmond Papa and Alexander Sadikaj

The destruction of drug deals is suspected to be behind the murder of Edmond Papa in Tirana.

This is the main clue raised by the police of Tirana, which from preliminary verifications suspects that Edmond Papa's murder came as a response to a mafia elimination that was done to one of his opponents during this summer in Tirana.

The main evidence that leads the police to connect the two murders is the fact that the Pope and his opponent met in Saranda two days before the murder that happened in June of this year. There are doubts that this meeting between them did not go well and then brought the serious incident, Tch reports.

It is suspected that it is about the murder of 27-year-old Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was killed with a remote control bomb while he was driving on the Tirana-Elbasan axis, on the outskirts of the capital.

The 49-year-old was executed on Friday afternoon in a bar in the Selita area while he was drinking coffee. In order to identify the author of the event, who moved on foot in disguise, the police of Tirana are gathering footage from security cameras in the area, but so far no valid sequence has been found.

Although with a low profile, the 49-year-old is suspected to have been heavily involved in drug trafficking from Turkey to Albania and from Albania to England. There are also suspicions that he was involved in money laundering. The verifications showed that Edmond Papa in Albania mainly lived between Saranda and Fier during the summer, but he often traveled abroad.
