The conciliator of blood from Lezha, Pjetër Gjoka, who spoke today about the blood feud between the Nikulaj and Lestakaj tribes, which returned a week ago with the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj.
Gjoka said that the blood feud between these two tribes started in 1997 and is still going on. According to him, Ardian Nikulaj asked for reconciliation, but was rejected by the other side.
Regarding this case, Gjoka said that the situation is very delicate and it is very difficult to find a bridge of communication between the two tribes.
"We knew this case, it's a series of murders, not exactly declared, in 1997 and after. The balance remains an unexplained problem from our side. The Lestakaj tribe has left the villas here in Albania empty and they have all left for England, where they live and work. It seems that this has influenced to organize their blood feud. After the 2000s, I met Ardian Nikulajn, who was known as a local politician and successful in the field of business and who helped the community. There is no way to reconcile since the injured party, the Lestakaj party, is absent. No attempt can be made without both parties. Nikolaj accepted the reconciliation, I have discussed it with the deceased. But when one party is missing, reconciliation cannot be done. I find the solution difficult, but let's hope", he said in a television interview.
