The Special Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with partner authorities such as the Italian Antimafia, have hit a criminal group active in the field of tax fraud.

According to a short communiqué provided by SPAK, it is about sums of 1.1 million euros per year or a total of 13.5 million euros in 12 years through tax fraud, money laundering and fictitious invoices, investigated by the Antimafia of Florence.


SPAK and Antimafia have registered criminal proceedings and verifications are being carried out against citizens Gazment Koçiu, Redon Marku, Samir Houjeiri, Eros Gjona, Orkes Kamami, Eluent Kamami  and Albiona Zaj .

Eulent Kamami stood at the head of the group while Albiona Ziaj collected the money coming from the commercial activity by not issuing fiscal invoices.

"In cooperation with the Firenze Public Prosecutor's Office, coordinated by Eurojust, checks were carried out in 4 cities in Albania and 23 checks in some cities in Italy. An investment of 13.5 million euros in 31 restaurants, 2 hotels and various other businesses was discovered. The investigation is continuing in the collection of evidence and the criminal responsibility of the subjects under investigation", said SPAK briefly on the "X" platform.

Part of the activities of this group are crimes through the purchase or lease of 31 businesses, restaurants in the center of Florence, two hotels, car rental businesses, a beer production company, the shares of an amateur football club in Ischia were also bought with illegal income. Controls in Albania were carried out in Tirana, Vlora, Durrës and Elbasan.

The dirty money according to Antimafia, except for the cases invested in the businesses listed below, has been reinvested by the suspects in luxury goods.

Controls were also carried out with the use of dogs, cash dog units in Bologna, Rimini and Florence.
