It is about his company "BM" SHPK, 97 vehicles owned by this company, all his bank accounts in all second level banks in the name of Gjolaj, his wife and the company "BM" SHPK.

Referring to media reports, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction informs the following:

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Shkodër has registered the criminal proceedings of 2017, for the commission of the criminal offense "Cleaning the products of a criminal offense or criminal activity", provided for by Article 287 of the Criminal Code. From the review of the incriminating material referred by the General Directorate of the State Police, it results that based on the information and documentation administered, based on law no. 108, dated 31.07.2014 "For the State Police", as amended, it results that the citizen A. Gj is suspected of dealing with smuggling and trading of contraband goods, as well as being identified as a participant in a criminal group dealing with the trafficking of narcotics.

In the following, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër registered the property proceedings of 2024, based on law no. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On preventing and combating organized crime, trafficking, corruption and other crimes through preventive measures against wealth", amended. In this context, the Prosecutor's Office has addressed the Court of General Jurisdiction Shkodër, with the request with the object: The imposition of preventive sequestration on the assets as follows:

- Property no…….

- Property no. ……

- Property no…….

- 97 vehicles owned by the company "…."

- The current balance in all bank accounts (current account/deposit) of all second-level banks operating in the Republic of Albania in the name of A. Gj, S. Gj, as well as "…" Shpk with Nipt : …...

- Appointment of the administrator from the list of experts of the Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency.

The Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Shkodër, with the decision dated 16.04.2024, has decided:

1. Accepting the request of the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër.

2. Seizure of assets:

- Trading company "…" Shpk with Nipt: …..

- Property ……..

- 97 vehicles owned by the company "…"

- The current balance in all bank accounts (current account/deposit) of all second-level banks operating in the Republic of Albania in the name of A. Gj, S.Gj as well as "…." s.pk with Nipt: …...

3. The Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency is charged with the administration of these assets.

4. Two copies of this decision should be sent to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër, which took measures for the execution of this decision.

The case on appeal was examined on the basis of the appeal made by the applicant with initials A. Gj, who requested:

- The annulment of the 16.04.2024 decision of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër.

At the end of the trial, on 30.05.2024, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, composed of the panel with Judge Mr. Genti Shala, decided:
