AMP and the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana have clarified the dynamics of the serious event, where 32-year-old Lear Kurti lost his life.

On 19.10.2022, at 23:07, the employees of Police Station No. 3, Tirana, during the patrol on Rr. "Riza Çuka" in the Laprak area found a person standing in front of a private business, for which the conditions and circumstances dictated the need for a verification.

At the moment when the police officers asked him for his identification document, the citizen ran away, disobeying the successive calls of the police officers to stop.

After running for about 200 meters, followed by the Police patrol, between the alleys between "Riza Čuka" and "Don Bosko" streets, he was caught and detained by Police officers, where they stayed for 7 minutes.

Following this, after calming down, the citizen was escorted to the premises of Police Station No. 3, where he had health problems, which dictated the sending to the Trauma Hospital, where the loss of life was determined.

From the investigative actions carried out, the entire itinerary and the actions of the Police officers from the moment when the citizen is asked to identify himself until he is escorted to the premises of Police Station No. 3 have been documented.

This itinerary is reflected in the film images administered by 5 cameras of different countries, the statements of the persons present, among them two fellow citizens of the victim, as well as the statements of the Police employees.

Among the ongoing investigative actions are the examination of the corpse in the presence of the forensic staff, from which it does not result that the victim's body has any injuries or signs of violence. The marks created at the moment of handcuffing can be found on the wrists.

From the autopsy performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, it was found that a torn white plastic bag measuring 5×5 cm was found in the victim's stomach, suspected of being the packaging of narcotics, which was examined at the Institute. of the Scientific Police.

Also from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, examinations continue to determine the cause of death. From the analysis of the evidence collected up to this stage of the investigation, such as film footage, surveillance and forensic examinations, no illegal actions of the Police officers, during and after the escort of the citizen LK, 32 years old, are evident.

For the above, AMP under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of Tirana continues the investigations to clarify and clarify the cause of death and other circumstances of the event.
