Miners and ex-miners who have come out in protest have thrown themselves into protest today as it marks May 1, the International Labor Day.

They first gathered at Skënderbej Square as they demand more conditions for them, starting with status and pensions. Then, in a march, they were stationed together with the teachers in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

"The strikes will not stop. We want the charter. Let's all unite, miners, but also those who have come out in protest. The Prime Minister should react, solve our demands. This government will no longer have our votes", said one of the miners participating in the protest.

He called for the state to turn its eyes on them.
