The State Police has given details about the sensational mega-operation with 15 arrested, from which 6 murders committed by Laert Haxhiu's group have been revealed.

Artan Tafani, who was arrested after stealing a currency exchange point, has admitted that he is part of Haxhiu's criminal group.

Asked about what Tafani might have received in exchange for his confession, the head of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, Kreshnik Ajazi, did not give details, classifying it as an investigative secret.

"They are an investigative secret," Ajazi said

He added that from the preliminary investigations, the perpetrators have always acted on the basis of profit and interest.

"Preliminary investigations have shown that the suspected perpetrators of this criminal group have acted on the basis of profit and interest, and in some cases conflicts have arisen due to illegal activities. For all criminal proceedings, investigations are dynamic and continue for each case," the prosecutor told the media.

Asked who else could be hiding behind Laert Haxhi, he added that the investigations are dynamic but they have legal evidence for both the executors and the orderers.
