Anonymous website turns into nightmare for dozens of teenagers in Korça,

A website that has been blackmailing minors with intimate photos has caused a major stir in the city of Korça. The website has been using social media to threaten teenagers, forcing them to send intimate photos and threatening to publish them if they don't comply.

Several girls who have been affected by this blackmail have shared their stories with Euronews, while maintaining anonymity, and have revealed that they have gone through severe psychological pressure, including suicide attempts.

"This page has been opened for many people, bullying them, harassing them, with different words. I want to complain because I was affected, I want the person to be found because it is not the first case that has happened in Korça and they publish photos of girls having sexual relations, dealing with different boys, they say this. I filed a complaint with the police and they are looking for a person but he has not been found. I have been threatened, send me a photo, I will come to your house, I will take a photo, they will mock you", says a girl.

"It's a page that all the girls in the city of Korça have created, which puts them down, posts banal things, here photos of them and their families. We are upset because many girls have attempted suicide. We feel threatened and upset because we haven't really done it, when we go out on the street they don't want to point fingers at us," says another.

Another witness testified that the page had distributed nude photos and mentioned names of individuals and their families, causing fear and concern in Korça.

"This page is denigrating and defamatory. It writes, posts nude photos, images of different people. It mentions names and surnames, calls me names, and there are even some that are posted by family members. It is worrying, we have a family, parents, cousins, we do not feel well and threatened. They throw everything there. It harms them a lot, I know girls who have harmed themselves by cutting their wrists," says one of the girls.

Korça Police have confirmed that this case is being investigated as a cybercrime and that they are awaiting concrete steps to find the perpetrator and punish him.
