Namik Koçi was arrested by the Tirana police after trying to bribe the director of the Regional AKU in Tirana ( National Food Authority ).

According to the police, the 43-year-old owner of a dairy in Durrës, ' Perla Bulmet ', tried to bribe the director of the AKU by offering him a sum of money, in order to facilitate the procedures for testing the products of his dairy.

Police notification :

The arrest of this citizen was made after he attempted to bribe the director of the Tirana Regional AKU, offering him a sum of money, in order to facilitate the procedures for testing the samples taken in his commercial entity (baxho), in Durrës.

Investigations on Namik Koçi were passed to SPAK, for the criminal offense " Active corruption of persons exercising public functions ".
