Since the early hours of the morning, RENEA forces and the State Police have conducted checks in several areas of Mirdita, following information that Elson Reçi , who has been wanted by SPAK since May 15, 2024, may have entered Albanian territory.

Searches were conducted at his apartment in Mirdita, as well as in other premises, but without result, as Reçi was not found.

Subsequent verifications revealed that his brother had entered Albania, and not Elson Reçi himself .

The latter is accused by SPAK of having provided the conditions and material means for the murder of Preng Gjin.

Elson Reçi is the nephew of Kastriot Reçi, executed by sniper in Rrëshen on January 7, 2020.
