The Special Prosecution Office has taken the defendants and communicated the charges to Izmir Sakica, Samuel Troshani and Franko Leka, who are accused of having, in collaboration with each other, organized and planned the murder of Aleksandër Prendi and his family members.

Their criminal plan was not realized, as as soon as the group of assassins entered the village of Rranxë, they were attacked with firearms by Aleksandër Prendi.

SPAK has filed charges of murder under qualifying circumstances, attempted murder, providing conditions to commit murder, and illegal possession of weapons, all of which were committed within the framework of a criminal group.

Despite being the target of the attack, this did not save Aleksandër Prendi from the charges. The prosecution has also charged him with attempted murder. Franko Leka and Aleksandër Prendi are still wanted.

SPAK, in the announcement issued in February last year, explains that Izmir Sakica, Samuel Troshani and Franko Leka, along with other unidentified persons, set off in an organized manner with armored vehicles towards the village of Rranxë, in the Bushat Administrative Unit, Vau i Dejës Municipality.

The persons under investigation were armed and there are reasonable suspicions, based on evidence, that they went to this area with the intention of killing Aleksandër Prendi and his family members, who are residents of this area.

While they were passing through this area, they were shot by Prendi. Evidence obtained at the scene indicates that there was an exchange of gunfire, with no injuries to the health of the people involved, but only damage to the vehicles.

One of the vehicles in which the persons under investigation were travelling was damaged as a result of the shooting at the scene. It turned out to be unregistered, of unknown ownership and with foreign license plates, which do not belong to the same vehicle.

For this incident, only Izmir Sakica and Samuel Troshani are in prison, who chose to surrender to the police, as they were wanted for a fight that occurred in Shkodra.
