Employment expert, Kumrie Zika

The employment expert, Kumrie Zika has shown that due to the lack of workers in the labor market in Albania, shepherds, masons and farmers are being hired from Nepal, Sri Lanka and India.

Invited to "Panorama e Mêngjesit", she said that they intend for the employees from abroad to bring them as family so that they do not escape from Albania to the EU countries.

Employment expert, Kumrie Zika : "There are shortages in agriculture, mainly in agriculture, I am cooperating to bring them from Nepal, Sri Lanka, in the field of construction from India. We are in the first steps, we will finalize it in two months, they will be in Albania.

The field of agriculture is intact, employees are required, we are unable to cover it with Albanians, so we must hire foreigners. People from Sri Lanka are hard working people and they know well the plant, the matter of agriculture and animal husbandry. We will not take them from the city there to bring them to the village here.

We will also take shepherds from abroad, but not as individuals, as a family. When a farm here asks to be farmed by a foreign family, we bring a family and they stay in the village.

It makes them more stable in Albania. When we bring them one by one they escape to European countries, so it's better to bring them as a family that after 2 years we send them to Europe, but not to escape."
