The whole mechanism of donating the car started in 2020. Where during the meetings between the head of the crime investigation department at the Elbasan Police, Leonard Palushi and Erjon Alibej, it was discussed at the latter's house, the problems brought by the vehicle that Palushi had owned.

According to Palushi, that car was left on the roads and service stations, as it was old. Hearing this concern, Erjon Alibej told him that he would see if he could find a car for him.

"...on another occasion, in a meeting I had with Leonard, in the course of the conversation he told me about a car of his that he had at that time, he told me: "...that car is wearing me out in the service and I am looking at the possibility to find a petrol car to fill it with gas...". I remember telling Leonard that gas is dangerous, but he told me he was interested in gas for low consumption. At that time, I had two cars, which I had bought shortly after the incident of my brother, Endrit. I may have bought them in February-March of 2019. Both cars were Mercedes-Benz, C Class, with a 3000 petrol engine. As far as I remember, the year of production was 2009-2011, and that one was black in color, while the other was honey-colored..." Erion Alibej told the prosecutor.

With this "Benz" donated by Erion Alibej, Leonard Palushi traveled twice abroad together with his childhood friend, Atem Tema.

In 2019, the car was owned by Edlira Hoxhallari, and on May 27, 2019, Elvis Hokja, a well-known person from Alibej, became the owner. Then on June 23, 2020, Hokja, sells 8 million lek to Leonard Palushi's close friend, the person Atem Tema.

According to the notarial contract, it appears that the "buyer" Tema made the payment outside the notary's office, taking delivery of the vehicle without any claims about its technical condition.

Only two and a half months later, the Benz donated by Erion Alibej, was driven by the police officer, Leonard Palushi, head-to-head with another vehicle "Toyota RAV4". In this case too, Atem Tema becomes the owner of "Toyota" again.

Nuk e mban mend fiks, por në kohën e pandemisë, Leonardi i kërkuar një nder. Pasi vetë e kishte fizikisht të pamundur për të shkuar për të kryer një akt noterial për blerjen e një automjeti. Për këto arsye, ka deklaruar se Leonardi i ka kërkuar të shkojë vetë Atemi dhe të kryente aktin në emër të tij. Me gjetjen e shitësit dhe të mjetit që do të blihej dhe me pagesën ishte marrë vetë Leonardi. Pas disa kohësh, duke qënë se sipas Leonardit makina “Mercedes Benz C Class”, nuk ishte shumë e përshtatshme për t’u përdorur në përditshmëri, kërkonte që ta ndërronte…”.

For these reasons, they made the change by performing the relevant actions at the notary, where Leonardi asked him that the "TOYOTA RAV4" vehicle be in Atemi's name again.
