Two weeks after being charged by the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, the socialist mayor Eduard Duro appeared in SPAK, accompanied by his lawyer.

Duro was charged under the charge of "abuse of duty". The communication of the charge was made after the mayor licensed a fuel business that was a construction without permission.

SPAK's investigation came after a report filed in the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office by another entity.

 In relation to this issue, Duro in an official response stated that the tax department has given authorization for the sale of fuel within and in accordance with the law.

"Regarding the published news, Eduard Duro says: The tax department has given authorization for the sale of fuel within and in accordance with the law. Citizens JK and MK have filed a complaint that this document should not have been given to the entity "Genci Petrol". I signed everything as required by law and it is not a matter of abuse of office but of a duty fulfilled under the conditions of a mayor."
