A wonderful sight happened on one of the beaches of Saranda, where a turtle has come to appear for vacationers. The turtle photographed is a sea turtle of the "Caretta caretta" type, otherwise known as the green turtle. This species is very popular on the Albanian coast and can often sometimes appear during the summer, when they go out on the beaches to lay eggs.

Caretta caretta is an endangered species and is protected by international laws, as its numbers have declined significantly due to hunting, pollution and loss of natural habitats. This turtle is also very important for marine ecosystems, as it helps maintain the balance of life in the water.

Such a surprising encounter with nature is a reminder to everyone how important it is to preserve these species and their habitat for future generations.
