An officer of the State Police attempted suicide today in Tirana.

It is learned that the 50-year-old officer shot himself with the service weapon, and is in critical condition.

The serious incident took place on "Babë Rexha" street of the capital, where the policeman lived alone after being divorced.

So it is suspected that the policeman was also in financial difficulties due to the debts he had.
