A serious event has shocked the public in Greece, as a priest is accused of sexually abusing a minor.

Greek media reports that a 68-year-old man in Salamis was put in handcuffs on Sunday afternoon, after being accused of raping a 12-year-old girl.

According to the Greek media, the 68-year-old priest was known to the minor's father and, taking advantage of their acquaintance, visited the family home when the parents were not there and repeatedly committed sexual acts against the 12-year-old.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that the 68-year-old is involved in such cases, as he has been accused of similar crimes in the past. In 2018, he was accused of sexual acts against a 13-year-old boy.

In the control carried out in his house and in the place where he performed his religious duties, digital media were seized, the content of which will be investigated by forensic laboratories.
