Numerous denunciations about microcredits cast doubt on the involvement of second-level banks. A citizen tells us her case. Through a message, the lady in question confesses that her father took a loan from Raiffeisen Bank, an amount of 7 million old alleks, which he repaid in full and together with interest he paid nearly 11 million old alleks.
The girl in question explains that despite the fact that the term of the loan had passed, the bank in question continued to keep the money for regular installments. However, this was resolved through a communication with the bank. The problem continues when, a few months later, letter envelopes from Micro Credit Albania arrived at their home, informing them that they had to pay the amount of 5 million old lek. At a time when none of the family members have ever had contact with this company. Now, forced and among threats, they have been forced to resume payments. Now, the family in question still has 2 million and 200 thousand old unpaid ALL and their bank accounts have been blocked.
Full denunciation of the citizen:
How are you? Many thanks for the denunciations you are making about microcredits. Then, my father got a 7 million ALL loan from Raifeissen Bank, for which he paid a full 11 million ALL, until the loan ran out and they returned a few ALL back to him because it was over and some installments were withheld. Neyse, after a few months we receive a letter from Micro Credit Albania that we owe you the sum of 5 million ALL (I emphasize that no loan has been received from Micro Credit), let's clarify why this amount must be paid, no answer, we send you a written letter, without result. Now they have also blocked the bank accounts because I have to pay the amount of 220,000, we are in trouble because we cannot find a solution. This conversation has been going on for 7 years and we can't find a solution. We make written requests to you, no response, I think that the second-level banks, in the specific case Raiffaisen, also have problems.
But by what right does this happen?
A year ago, Raiffeisen Bank was involved in a scandal and an organized theft scheme. The director of a branch of Raiffaisen Bank in Tirana, Esela Metaj, stole millions of euros from customers and disappeared. It is not known how many customers had money taken from their accounts.
"Consulting Company", "Final", "Micro Credit Albania", "ADCA", "ZIG", "FLASH" and "FS" are some of them that operate in Tirana as ghosts, not having a physical office where citizens can go and consult or complain to them. A few days ago, the VOICE went to all the official addresses of these institutions and proved that their offices do not exist. On the other hand, the Bank of Albania has not taken any measures, but has decided to extend the suspension for another 6 months for the non-banking financial entity "Micro Credit Albania", a year after it took the decision to suspend its lending activity.
However, this company continues to send messages to customers. ZERI has also requested an official answer from the Tax Directorate or the Finncaire Supervisory Authority, but until the publication of this article, it has not yet received an answer./ ZERI.AI
