After the discovery of the arms base in Vlora two days ago (March 7), another warehouse that supplies criminal groups with weapons has been discovered in Shkallnur of Durrës.

Two young men, Hekuran Troplini, 20 years old, and Emiljano Pasho, 19 years old, both residents of the village of Shkallnur, have been captured by the police. The arrest of one of them was also filmed by the police drone, after he tried to escape from the officers. Dressed in a black sweatshirt and with a hood on his head, in an attempt to escape, he ran through the olive groves, but then collapsed and was handcuffed by the police.

The police intervention was carried out after investigations that the two young men were hiding Kalashnikov combat firearms that they then sold to criminal groups.

"From the investigations, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with other citizens, during the last months, have sold quantities of weapons and combat ammunition," the police say.

Inside the base were found 4 Kalashnikov firearms with 20 combs, hundreds of combat cartridges, 1 motorcycle used to move and transport weapons and ammunition, for the purpose of sale, 63,700 ALL and a quantity of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa.

The police say they are working to identify and arrest other persons involved in this criminal activity.
