The public prosecution of the Netherlands demanded 3 years in prison for 36-year-old Brian P., part of the " Tatto Killerr " gang.
He allegedly planned to escape from prison in Grave with a drone and was to be helped by an Albanian along with another person.
In June 2023, during a hearing before the Court in Zytphen, it was learned that Brian P. had communicated with someone outside the prison walls.
This person told him that he had ordered a "special drone" from Dubai, which would serve to get him out of prison.
Brian.P then asked him: Can he handle my 95 kilos”?
The answer was "Yes".
According to his lawyer Sander Janssen, such a thing is impossible. "How big does a drone need to be for my customer to ride in?"
Robbery
"Tattookiller" member Brian P. has been in the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught since January this year, on suspicion of extorting the two founders of Bitonic, a prominent Dutch bitcoin company.
He and another suspect allegedly demanded one million euros.
According to the justice department, between August 31 and October 1, 2022, the two suspects sent all kinds of threats to their two victims through the Wickr chat program. They threatened them that they would deal with their family members and even sent them their photos.
Raid
According to Het Parool, police raided a building in Rotterdam on November 29, 2022 in an investigation into drug and arms trafficking. On a phone found there, police allegedly read messages about an escape plan in which Brian P. was to be released from prison in Grave with a drone.
Conversation
From Grave, Brian.P is said to have communicated through telephone conversations with Maarten van der T. and the Albanian Lisander O.
Initially, the trio reportedly planned to release P. from prison with a helicopter (hanging on a rope).
When this proved impossible, they discussed the plan to release P. with a drone, the drone had to be purchased in Dubai.
Albania
According to the Public Prosecution Service, Brian P. would fly over the prison wall in Grave with a drone and then get into a stolen car. Then he planned to leave for Albania.
According to the justice authorities, the three suspects are part of a criminal organization that sought to release Brian P.
The Public Prosecution requests three years in prison for Brian P., while for Maarten van der T. 18 months, of which 6 months on probation. So Lisader O. was asked to be sentenced to 16 months in prison. The court will make its decision on January 19, 2024.
