Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani announced today the termination of the legal representation relationship with Ilir Meta.

According to the law firm's statement, the termination of cooperation came after the loss of mutual trust and the lack of necessary cooperation between the parties during the legal process.

According to the statement, the lawyer-client relationship has been terminated due to the law firm's announcement that the decision was made after the last court session and in accordance with the ethical rules of the profession.

But what happened at Wednesday's session?

Wednesday's hearing was accompanied by tensions between Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi. During the hearing, there were arguments about Ardian Shatku, Monika Kryemadhi's cousin, who is considered one of the key people mentioned in the investigation file. Meanwhile, Meta and Kryemadhi exchanged accusations and retorts in the courtroom.

After that session, Cakrani himself stated to the media that it was not a personal conflict between the ex-spouses, but that tensions had arisen during discussions about Ardian Shatku.

"We shouldn't aggravate it as if it was a fight, there was a moment when Shatku was mentioned, a key witness, these arose because if Shatku had been called, they wouldn't have this conflict. Shatku is mentioned 327 times in the file and he hasn't been called, this looks like there's a conspiracy. 20 months and 2 days have passed and it's still not known why he's being held. There was tension and Meta's voice was raised, Shatku is Kryemadhi's cousin and Meta has his own opinion, he thinks he conspired. Neither Kryemadhi nor Shatku conspired, McGonigal, Dumani and Kim did. Meta also called Gonigal as a witness because there are suspicions that in 2017, he was in Albania. That year, he had just taken the post of head of the Republic and an attack was launched against him, where McGonifal, Yuri Kim and opponents have caused him to be in that state," said Cakrani at the end of the session.

After the tensions in the hearing, Monika Kryemadhi, together with her confidant, Elona Guri, had lunch with lawyer Kujtim Cakrani at one of the restaurants in the Paris Municipality in Tirana, as Vox News has also provided the photos.

And it was precisely the 'defense' that Cakrani gave to the Supreme Court after the hearing, and especially the lunch between them, that caused Ilir Meta to no longer trust his lawyer, ending the legal representation relationship, and apparently even the friendly one.
