The Special Court has rejected Ermal Kurtulaj's request for freedom.
Kurtulaj had requested a more lenient measure than prison in exchange for a financial guarantee, but his request was rejected by the Criminal Court.
He has been in prison since July 4, 2024, when he was arrested by order of SPAK for the file of abuses of EU funds in SASPAC.
Kurtulaj is accused of passive corruption, tender violations, document forgery, fraud with consequences, and fraud in collaboration.
