The massive fire that engulfed the 12-story building near the QSUT on Tuesday is suspected to have been caused by the negligence of several minors.

Sources close to the investigative group inform shqiptarja.com that security camera footage from surrounding businesses has been obtained, shedding light on the incident.

The video shows five minors standing for several minutes at the back of a supermarket, where the fire initially started. A short while later, two of them leave holding an unidentified object, suspected to be a piece of paper.

The juveniles throw it onto some cardboard boxes placed outside the market and immediately leave the scene. Just a few minutes later, smoke appears in the same place, which in a very short time turns into flames, rapidly spreading to the facade of the building and causing significant material damage.
