The fire situation is difficult in some areas of the country, with flames that have endangered homes and engulfed areas of forest and shrubland.
In the village of Lundre in Ulza, the fire has approached homes, creating a critical situation for residents. Intervention from the ground is difficult due to the difficult terrain and drought, while residents are requesting urgent intervention from the air by helicopter to protect homes.
Another fire has been activated in the village of Greps, near Mukje, in the Nikël Administrative Unit. Firefighters from Kruja and Tirana are working to contain the flames, which are spreading rapidly, favored by the wind. The fire has engulfed hectares of vegetation, while no injuries have been reported so far.
Meanwhile, a fire has also been reported in Zall-Herr, where after residents' concerns, the Municipality of Tirana has sent firefighting vehicles to the scene. An excavator has opened the road to enable the intervention of the vehicles. It is not yet known the area affected by the flames and whether the surrounding homes are in danger.
