The government announced today that every kilowatt of electricity consumed over 800 kWh will be paid 4.4 times more for household consumers.

The decision must also be approved by ERE, while it is expected that this will significantly increase the monthly costs of a very large number of families in the country, which have so far spent more than 9,120 ALL of electricity per month.

The government has decided to apply this measure until the end of December, depending on the situation. The eyes are from HPPs, which produce the vast majority of electricity in the country.

The Drin Cascade is also the main generator of electricity for Albania. It seems to be completely empty, as can be seen from the footage filmed yesterday in the vicinity of Kukës.

The area you see in ABC's video is near Morina customs, part of the lake that makes up the Drin cascade. The water level was very high a few months ago, but mismanagement and low rainfall have led to this situation, where the lake has now turned into a pasture for cows.

The latest data from KESH show that the HPPs in the Drin cascade are close to the point of death. According to KESH, Fierza is at the level of 271.9 meters (data until the end of August), Komani 173 meters, and Vau i Deja, 73 meters.
