After the fire that engulfed a building in Tirana and caused extensive material damage, Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted by guaranteeing that the building will be completely rebuilt by the builder himself.
Through a statement in X, he emphasized that, despite the fact that the preliminary causes are not related to the quality of construction, the affected citizens will not be left alone and taxpayers will not be burdened.
"The palace that burned down yesterday in Tirana will be rebuilt 100% by the builder himself, despite the fact that according to preliminary data the cause of the fire has nothing to do with the construction itself! Because we cannot leave the damaged people alone in their property and on the other hand, taxpayers cannot pay for a damage that should have been paid by insurance - a meaningful case for everyone to understand that home insurance against disasters is necessary. However, I tell all the damaged families to feel calm on this side and I wish them only health, thanking from the bottom of my heart the firefighters and law enforcement for the heroic work in saving all the endangered lives," Rama writes.
