The Tirana Court has imposed a seizure on the bank accounts of several construction companies, as part of an investigation into the source of their income.

According to the decision made at the request of prosecutor Ndini Tavani, the bank accounts of the companies "Olt Flor" and "Olti Grup", as well as the companies "Albavia" and "Standard", the company "Alaska", "Kukës Chrome Minerals" and "Troci 2005" have been seized.

The seizure measures have been taken because authorities suspect that the funds of these companies are not justified by their economic activity.

Investigations are continuing to determine the exact origin of the money and to verify whether there are elements of legal violations, while the companies are also suspected of concealing income.

Sources close to the prosecution indicate that this is an intervention within the framework of the fight against money laundering and informality in the construction sector.
