Indrit Shaqja , who was wounded by a gunshot in his cell in Peqin's high security prison, has been investigated by the Prosecutor's Office.

There are doubts that the person sentenced to life imprisonment may have been involved in the murder of Arben Lleshi by Sokol Mjacaj.

The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has learned that following the investigative actions, it has re-examined the cell of Indri Shaqjas, where Arben Lleshi was also killed.

From the inspection of the scene, a mobile phone was found in a wooden box, which Shaqja admitted was his.

How the event happened:

At noon on Friday (December 15), Sokol Mjacaj from the ventilation area approached the window of Indri Shaqja's cell and asked the latter to call Arben Lleshi.

When the convict with life imprisonment, Sokol Mjacaj, shot with a pistol in the direction of Arben Lleshi, leaving him dead on the spot, as well as wounding the other convict, Indrit Shaqja, who shared the cell with Ilir Xhakjan.

After the crime, the prosecution clarified that the 28-year-old threatened the guards with a gun and then isolated himself with the pistol in his hand in the premises of meetings with family members in this prison.

The firearm was brought into Peqin prison and then kept in the room by the convict Sokol Mjaca for about 20 days. It is even suspected that the person sentenced to life imprisonment kept the pistol even in the common areas of this prison (ventilation, or internal regime).

"Indrit Shaqja has testified before the investigators that two anonymous letters arrived in his prison cells where he was told that they would give him 200,000 euros not only for the murder of Arben Lleshi but also of another convict, it is about Xhelad Krujja .

In the investigation file it is also stated that in the letters that arrived at the door counter of the room, it was written that they would provide him with the poison to kill Arben Lleshi if he agreed.

Shaqja says that he also informed Arben Lleshi about this letter, while he says that the whole prison knew about it. An anonymous person had even sent a letter to Lleshi that 200,000 euros were being paid for his head. In the capacity of a person who knows about the circumstances of the event, the victim Indrit Shaqëja was asked, who explained that he was staying in the room while cooking.

The policeman of the convoy called and told Indri to look for the vehicle of the sector convoy. He saw Sokol Mjaca with a pistol in his hand from the window and there he approached the window and started talking to Sokol and insulted him.

In the meantime, Sokol has left in the direction of the exit to the air conditioning, went out into the corridor and ran after Sokol.

When he went outside to ventilate, he saw that Sokol had pointed his pistol at a policeman while the ventilating policeman opened the door to go out to ventilate. He followed him from behind and meanwhile the police tried to stop Indrit from following him because he didn't know what was going on and Sokol told him not to come close because he will kill you too. Sokol then entered the meeting room with the family members of room B.

He also stated that during the entire time he was in prison, he found two handwritten letters on the counter of the door of the room twice, one about four years ago and the other about a year and a half ago in Peqin prison with the same content that we will pay 200,000 euros, we will also provide the poison for you to carry out the death of that Arben Lleshi, if you agree with both cases, I said that if you agree, give us an answer by letter.

It is also stated that in both cases the letters were given to the citizen Arben Lleshi, whom I declare that the whole prison knows about, I had good friends in Fushë Krujë and then he destroyed them because this convict despised his religion.

In Peqin, it has been in a special regime for 3 months because the phone is picked up in the room. In the following, he stated that an anonymous person sent a letter to Arben Lleshi in the chamber warning him that they are paying 200 thousand euros for your head and 200 thousand euros for Xhelad Krujë, it is stated in the investigative file.
