Other serious details come to light about the murder of 31-year-old Eraldo Nevruzi in the early hours of Thursday in Dhërmi. Sources from the Vlora police told Klan News that Gerald Shehu had planned the murder of the 31-year-old. According to these sources, throughout the evening the 43-year-old took the victim separately to one of the rooms where the staff rested, taking care to justify his absence at the workplace.

There he executed him for death, and then with the help of two associates, Daniel Qose and David Larti, the plan was implemented for the disappearance of his body. The 3 together, stripped him, took his personal belongings, clothes, identification documents and burned them in the pizzeria's oven.

The body was wrapped in plastic, put into the 43-year-old's Audi A8 car, and then the latter left the hotel. He made the next stop at his house. There he changed, got his passport and the money needed to leave the country. He got into the car again, while Eraldo's body was still with him. Referring to the security cameras on the streets and businesses, somewhere along the Dhërmi-Himarë axis, the suspected perpetrator made a car stop. At this very moment, it is suspected that he also threw the corpse.

From murder to escape

The murder of the 31-year-old happened around 01:00, while the suspected perpetrator left for Greece at 05:00 in the morning. He made the journey from Dhërmi to Saranda in about 1 hour. When he arrived in this city, he hid the car in an old warehouse near the seaport in district number 4. From there he took a taxi to Qafë Botë. Even after crossing the border, to travel to Igoumenica, Shehu traveled again by taxi. And from Igoumenica he took the ferry to Corfu, where he planned to take the plane to England.

All these details actually speak of a premeditated murder and it is exactly the charge that the prosecution of Vlora has brought.

However, the 43-year-old's plan to escape to England failed thanks to timely cooperation between the Albanian and Greek authorities. This caused Gerald Shehu to be arrested during the afternoon hours of Thursday at the airport of Corfu. He is currently under arrest on the neighboring island while the Albanian authorities complete the necessary documentation to speed up his extradition.

The motive of the murder is still a mystery

Meanwhile, according to Klan Nea sources, the author and the victim are confirmed to have known each other in England. Suspicions are that the conflict may have started precisely during that time. Like Gerald Shehu, like his two associates, it is learned that they had been working at "Greccia" for about 5 years, where the serious incident happened.

The causes of this crime are still unclear. Shehu was co-owner of the hotel in question together with his mother-in-law. Eraldon is known to have hired him as a receptionist a few days ago.

Finding the body

Wrapped in a black bag, the dead body of Eraldo Nevruzi was found this Friday in the area known as "Gjipe Stream", between Dhërmi and Vunoi. The 31-year-old was found on the side of the road, with signs of violence on his body. Among the items that were found in this place were bloody gloves, plastic bags and visible blood stains on the ground./ Klan News
