More than 6 thousand cannabis plants are destroyed, police operations in some

The State Police destroyed this Friday more than six thousand cannabis roots, in an operation spread over different areas of the country.

In Kukës, Shkodër and Vlorë, 3 elders and two forest inspectors were criminally prosecuted for abuse of duty and failure to report a crime. But the police could not arrest the perpetrators who had cultivated the narcotic substance.

The largest number of plants was discovered in Shkodër, in the village of Postribë, where more than 3,700 cannabis roots were destroyed.

In Has, 1,570 narcotic plants were seized, while in Selenica, about 700 plants were in the process of drying.

The police announced that four brothers suspected of criminal activity were declared wanted.
