Spanish media have published new details about the murder of Miklovan Dakaj .

La Razon  writes that May 13, 2025 was the last time Miklovan Dakaj was seen alive.

His ex-partner filed a missing person report with the National Police. From the beginning, officers worked on the hypothesis that it was a kidnapping linked to organized crime based in the south of the Iberian Peninsula.

In October last year, months after his disappearance, a Pole found a large bag in the Casasola reservoir in Almogía (Málaga).

The man was camping and the discovery was accidental. Inside were the bound remains of Miklovan Dakaj .

The Judicial Police Unit of the National Police in Malaga has solved the murder of this Albanian man.

Police sources indicate that they are still investigating the motive and, while they have not found any connection to drug trafficking, other sources suggest that this was the reason for the Albanian man's murder.

This type of settling scores is becoming increasingly common in the province of Malaga, where clans and organizations involved in all types of crime operate with impunity.

Violence by these groups has been on the rise in recent years. Marbella has seen a rise in shootings in certain areas, from nightclubs and gyms to highway robberies and shootings in padel clubs.

For this reason, a police commissioner has been coordinating anti-drug units for the past year and a half to put an end to these incidents, a change that was evident from the beginning, according to police sources involved in the fight against organized crime.

Drug lords have also become stronger and more violent. The organizations no longer just smuggle hashish through the Strait of Gibraltar. Over the past two years, they have completely immersed themselves in the cocaine trade, which is more profitable.

This has led to an increase in the presence of weapons of war, such as machine guns and AK-47s. Many of these weapons come from groups sent to the war in Ukraine, and experts believe that this number could increase if troops are deployed to the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran.

Although the murder of Miklovan Dakaj was not the result of a shootout, it reflects the violence that erupted between criminal groups.

According to his ex-partner's initial report, Dakaj was at a restaurant in Puerto Banús on May 12 of last year.

At around 2:30 p.m., he told her he had to go to the José Carlos restaurant in Puerto de la Torre to see some friends.

He thought he was going to be offered a job as a bodyguard. An hour and a half later, she lost track of him. She was sure that " something had happened to him " because they never went long without hearing from each other.

Investigators have been monitoring the suspects' phones. Street surveillance has also been essential in solving the crime, which is now being investigated in a Malaga court and whose secrecy order was lifted in mid-March.

The journey from the restaurant to the reservoir is unclear, as there is a point where the car is not visible.

"While it is true that they lose sight of each other at a certain point and it is not possible to verify through the cameras whether or not they have reached the reservoir, the fact remains that the IMI (Integrated Mobile Network) rates for the vehicle driven by the suspects place it within the cell phone towers that provide coverage for the area where Mr. DAKAJ's body was found," a court order issued by the judge on March 17 states.

On that date, the judge ordered Ilir J. to be held in custody without bail and set a bail of 25,000 euros for Indrit G. to avoid imprisonment./ La Razon
