Martinaj appeared at the Special Court to testify in the process regarding the properties of his son and persons related to him, but the session failed due to the absence of two prosecutors in the case. At the end of the session, Mustafa Martinaj, asked what happened to his son, said that "everyone knows the fate of my son, except the media and the Prosecution."

"My son was executed in Durrës, how do I know?! I'm the father! And I gave explanations about this issue before the explanations of the National Bureau of Investigation, where I appeared on my own initiative, I came myself 2 months after the event. They don't want to investigate it and have left it to Kurbin."

Asked if he was interested in what the city's Prosecutor's Office is doing with the investigations, he said, " I have nothing to be interested in. I don't even have the power to take revenge. I came because the court summoned me, I am disabled, I have had some health interventions. These people deal with trifles and don't deal with major things ."

The next hearing was postponed for two weeks, as the trial on SPAK's request for the confiscation of certain assets continues. Two other citizens were also present as witnesses requested by SPAK. Ervis Martinaj disappeared on August 9, 2022, and since then, the authorities have never officially confirmed what happened to him.
