New details from the decision of the Special Court which, a few days later, accepted the request of SPAK and passed the file for trial against the former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, with suspicions that he was involved in corruption.

Alma Kaçi also went to trial with the same charge, both of them asked to be tried by shortened procedure, a request which was accepted by the Court.

This means that if they are found guilty according to SPAK's request, they will benefit from a reduced sentence. Investigations into this case started in June after the publication on social networks and media of a video shot in the premises of the mayor's office, during the performance of the intimate act.

The prosecution says that the investigation revealed a conversation between Alma Kaçi and Safet Gjici in his office, where Gjici, after a sexual favor, directed Alma to Granit Gjana, to talk about the tender for sheltering stray dogs.

A USB stick was found in Kaçi's apartment, which contained the gross footage of the sexual act in the City Hall office.

Kaçi, when questioned, stated that she made the filming as part of an investigative show, as according to her, she was an undeclared investigative journalist.

On Kaçi's phone, which was seized as part of the investigation, conversations were found between her and the journalists of the investigative show, where Kaçi talked about this filming.

According to SPAK, the filming was done voluntarily by Alma Kaçi, to document it. The name of Adebin Oruçi, the former chairman of the Kukës district, who, according to Kaçi, took the filming USB by force also comes to the fore.
