The English citizen involved in the investigation into the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj took refuge in Albania for 5 days.
Police investigations have revealed that on the first day of his arrival, on April 14, he stayed at the Coral hotel owned by the victim, while the other 4 nights at a hotel very close to where the event was recorded.
Precisely these obtained data and his departure from Albania through Rinas airport only 5 hours after the execution of Nikulaj, have led the investigators to suspect his involvement in the event, TV Klan reports.
On the other hand, from the security cameras, it turns out that this citizen was in the bar at the time of the murder, and he was the first to run away as soon as the incident happened.
The investigative group considers the statements of this person very important, so it has turned to the English authorities to interrogate him.
The investigators have doubts that he may have served information to the assassin, so his testimony is seen as extremely valuable for the investigative group.
Important for the police and the prosecution is also the finding of the scooter type engine that the killer used. Numerous controls have been carried out for him in the city of Lezha and that of Shkodra, but up to this stage without result.
