Details from SPAK's action/ The 'boss' of the Call Centers and
Fraudulent Call Centers

An operation against Call Centers , conducted the day before in Tirana, has been finalized with the crackdown on an illegal activity by SPAK. 

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation, supported by the State Police, were involved in the operation, while checks were carried out in several premises in the capital.

The operation came after several months of work, following alerts from French authorities.

In cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency (AMP), a call center operating near the "Sami Frashëri" high school was raided.

VoxNews has learned that the owner of this activity,  Gentjan Pjetërgjokaj , is suspected of operating undercover through the company  IVISION.AL shpk , while the administrator is  Anisa Muçollari .

Pjetërgjokaj has been arrested on charges of fraud with serious consequences. 

During the operation, the Police Supervision Agency also detained a police officer,  August Berberi , on duty at Police Station No. 1. 

His phone was taken away and his apartment was searched by BKH and AMP agents.

We remind you that this is the second case within a week of a crackdown on fraudulent call centers in Tirana. 

Last week, during an operation in the capital, 3 call centers were hit, which led to the arrest of 7 people and others being sought. 

Specifically, 7 people with 'prison arrest', 2 with 'compulsory appearance' and 'detention abroad', as well as 5 others arrested in flagrante delicto.

The 2-year investigation began in Austria, where the main fraud activity was carried out, and the operation was carried out jointly with SPAK and the State Police.

This activity has caused victims losses that are suspected to exceed 50 million euros.

Another building was also discovered in the village of Bërzhitë where fraud against foreign citizens was carried out.

The facility is registered as a business in the field of medical tourism, which is suspected of being used as a cover for illegal activity.
