Today, the court of Fier found Elton Bengajt (Metajn) guilty of the murder of his wife Sabrina Bengajt, sentencing him to life imprisonment.

The decision is final in the absence of the author. Elton Bengaj (Metaj) will serve his sentence in a high security prison.

The decision was made by the panel chaired by judges Sonila Hoxhaj, Taulant Banushi, Miranda Noka, while the Prosecutor of the case was Ervisa Hyka.

The serious event took place in September 2020 in Zhupan i Fier. Elton Metaj went to Sabrina's parents' house with a Kalashnikov. Metaj shot his wife with 7 bullets in the back causing her death.

Elton Bengaj and Sabrina Bengaj were married in 2017, from which their daughter was born. The cohabitation between them was interrupted in 2020, due to the physical and psychological violence exerted by her husband Elton Bengaj on Sabrina, who together with her minor daughter had moved to her parents' apartment in the village of Zhupan in Fier.
