The former deputy director of "Operation Forca e Ligit", Artan Shkëmbi, has been sentenced to prison for debunking the German state's investigations into some Albanian criminals.

Shkëmbi's battle with justice began in 2020, when at that time Police Director Ardi Veliu decided to suspend Shkëmbi after information received from the German authorities about the deconspiracy he had carried out.

According to the investigations carried out, it turned out that Shkëmbi had sent a photo from the "Deep See" system to the citizen identified with the initials KV, who then forwarded it to the other person under investigation with the initials AP

The prosecution said that Shkëmbi had debunked the investigation of the German state against some Albanian persons for the purpose of profit.

At that time, the case passed to SPAK and then to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana. The rock will apparently follow the battle even in the appeal.
