Footage has emerged of the moment when Eduart Danaj ambushed his wife Enkeleda Danaj in Menidi near her apartment and killed her with a knife.

The 50-year-old hit the victim over 10 times in the early hours of Thursday on a main road in Menidi.

Eduart Danaj, as he admitted to the police, knew the 40-year-old's route and is seen walking near her apartment, going from left to right, then turning back again.

At that moment, he appears in front of his wife Enkelejda Danaj and when she sees him, she stops on the street.

The 50-year-old approached her and started stabbing her repeatedly more than 10 times. In the end he left the knife stuck in her dead body and left the scene.

Eduart Danaj went to a hotel and tried to hide in a building where he reportedly worked. He also had cans of beer with him and consumed a large amount of alcohol, something he did even when he lived with the victim.

He drank and then beat him, Eduart Danaj was found by the Greek officers during a patrol and they handcuffed him.
