The Albanian sick of jealousy tries to massacre the wife in England, the mother
Petrit Zefi

A jealous and alcoholic Albanian has been sentenced to prison for the attempted murder of his wife, an event that happened a year ago in Neëquay, England.

In the two-week trial, shocking details were revealed about how 44-year-old Petrit Zefi had attacked his wife, who had isolated her in the apartment and did not allow her to even have a phone.

Zefi arrived in England illegally in 2000. Since then he has been very jealous of his wife Natalie, mother of four.

One night last year, Zefi took a sharp knife from the kitchen, and after closing the door where his two daughters, Katie and Hanna, were, he went to the room where the woman was with her little daughter, Lola.

Zefi shot the woman in the head with a knife, causing the tip of the knife to break off and remain embedded in her skull where doctors have not yet managed to remove it. He shot her again in the head, and when she raised her hand to defend herself, he shot her a third time, causing another wound to her hand.

The little girl started screaming, causing two other girls to enter the room, who grabbed her hand and took the knife. Zefi left the house shouting "she betrays me".

The judge said that if it wasn't for the two little girls, who took away the knife, the woman would not be alive today.

While the defense side stated that the attack was not planned, but a spontaneous action because he suffers from mental disorders.

"Zefi has a difficult and deprived education in Albania. He lost both parents. He served in the army in Albania and fought in Kosovo whether he wanted to or not. He provided financially for his family. This was not a premeditated attack", said the defense lawyer.

The judge decided to sentence Zefi to 15 years in prison, saying that Zefi had admitted that he had consumed alcohol and cocaine, and that the attack on his wife was well-planned.
