The former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako , has asked the Special Court to be tried by the shortened trial procedure.

The same request was made by the other co-defendants.

"There are no more facts, we ask for a shortened trial", said the former mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako after leaving SPAK, where he stayed for about 30 minutes.

In the Special Court, the trial of the case began today, in which Dako is accused of "abuse of duty" in two cases.

Since February 27, Dako is under house arrest after the security measure was changed, for exceeding the terms of detention.

Dako is accused of "Misuse of duty" in two cases in the procedure of granting a permit for the construction of a multi-story building and misuse of public funds in the procurement procedure for the construction of a promenade on the coast.
