Even this summer, it seems that the tourism sector will suffer from a lack of employees. The emigration of young Albanians has caused many operators in Durrës to find the solution in foreign employees.

Every year, the number of foreigners working in the coastal city of Durrës is increasing even more, although their cost is higher than that of an Albanian employee.

But even foreigners are not stable because the tourist season is short and employees require longer working hours.

According to a business calculation, each foreigner employed in the hotel-tourism sector has a cost of approximately 1000 euros extra, due to accommodation or plane ticket.
