Wife arrested for 69 million lek uncollected, Fetah Mataj appointed responsible

About two months after the arrest of the former director of the Durrës Post Office, her husband, Fetah Mataj, has been appointed head of the urban sector at the municipal green cleaning enterprise in Durrës.

Fetah Mataj, who has been working for this company for 11 years, was recently appointed as head of the urban waste sector.

According to investigations by the Prosecution and Police, the three officials are suspected of not having collected the amount of 69 million new lek in the Shijak and Krujë branches during April and May 2026.

Included are: Chief Financial Officer Valbona Hoti Duni and Treasurer Paola Dana.
