One person was arrested and another was wanted after they attempted to kill a 58-year-old man with an axe.

The incident was recorded on Saturday in the village of Shtyllas in Fier.

The perpetrators are a father and son, aged 63 and 40. Police announced that they have arrested the father while the search for the 40-year-old son continues.

As for the injured person, he is in the hospital under the care of doctors.

What happened?

On Saturday morning, the blue uniforms received a report that a person had been injured with a cutting tool in the village of Shtyllas.

"Immediately after receiving the notification, the services of the Fier Police Commissariat went to the scene and thanks to the timely response, they arrested and escorted one of the suspected perpetrators," the police announced.

The 63-year-old is accused of premeditated murder, committed in collaboration and remaining in the attempted stage.

Meanwhile, the police said that "intensive work is being done to capture his son, citizen NP, 40 years old."

Authorities seized the axe with which the perpetrators struck the 58-year-old as material evidence.

It is initially suspected that the cause of these events was a conflict over weak motives.
