The lawyer of businessman Pëllumb Gjoka has opposed SPAK's request to call 40 witnesses regarding the "Metamorphosis" file and the murder of Gjin Ndoji. The lawyer, Gurali Brahimllari, during his speech emphasized that the witnesses are not related to the case. According to him, SPAK seeks to create the illusion in the public that there is evidence by prolonging the case.
"33 of the witnesses are unrelated to the case, among them are 16 police officers who were questioned about a cigarette butt that was found at the scene. With this list of witnesses we request that it not be admitted. SPAK only attracted media attention and produced some news, SPAK seeks to create the illusion in the public that there is evidence by prolonging the case," he said.
Businessman Pëllumb Gjoka was arrested in July 2023 as a suspected member of a criminal organization that had committed, among other things, murder and hostage-taking. The investigation against Gjoka began after a file arrived from France.
He and other members of the group face nine counts of criminal offenses, including murder, active corruption and money laundering, committed within the framework of a structured criminal group. Gjoka is also accused of the 'Premeditated Murder' of Gjin Ndoj (Boriçi), on August 9, 2020 in the city of Shkodra.
