A woman of Albanian origin has been arrested by the Greek police after allegedly stabbing an 84-year-old woman to death in Kamena Vourla.

The incident was reported to the police on October 12 by the cousin of the elderly woman from whom he had not heard from for more than 24 hours.

The Greek police have cast the first doubts that the event may have come as a result of a momentary conflict between the 84-year-old and the 50-year-old Albanian woman.

 Greek media have reported that together they had created a good and close relationship while the woman of Albanian origin was employed to take care of the elderly woman.

The first suspicions were cast on a theft of money by the 50-year-old as she knew where the elderly kept the money.

Footprints and blood stains were found on the ground in the house where the incident took place.

The forensic report has confirmed that the elderly woman died as a result of a sharp blow to the back.

The woman of Albanian origin was arrested by the police and her husband was interrogated at the same time.
