Arrest in Athens, 2 million euros found in Lulzim Caka's apartment

New details have emerged regarding the arrest of Lulzim Caka in Athens.

After his arrest for drug trafficking, two million euros, drugs, and jewelry were found in his apartment.

Caka, known as "Lul Caka", is one of the most well-known names in Albanian crime history of the 1990s.

His criminal activity is mainly related to the Berat-Fier-Lushnjë area, in a period when the country was engulfed in chaos and violence after 1997. Caka was convicted of the murder of Pëllumb Emini, an event that occurred on July 21, 1997 in Lushnjë.

Another case for which Caka was convicted is related to the attack on two police leaders, Gani Malushi and Ilir Ngresi.

According to the decisions reported by the courts, he was found guilty of attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons, receiving a total sentence of 25 years in prison.

The incident occurred in March 1998, when Caka was accused of resisting armed police forces. He denied responsibility for these incidents, but his conviction was upheld by the Court of Appeal.
