The State Police has reacted after the news of the capture of the 45-year-old Albanian Spartak Dyrmishi, who raped a 34-year-old Greek woman and attempted to rape another citizen.

"After continuous searches, in the late hours of yesterday evening, the operational structures of the Local Directorate of the Vlora Police made it possible to capture the citizen Spartak Dyrmishi, 45 years old, a resident of Vlora", the police announced.

In the early hours of this morning, he surrendered at the Kakavije Border Crossing Point, after expressing his desire to surrender to the Greek police.

Police notification:

The maximum commitment of the State Police structures, the professional and timely response, led to the capture and voluntary surrender to the Greek Police of the 45-year-old from Vlora, wanted in Greece, for rape.

The State Police, immediately after exchanging information with their Greek counterparts, about an Albanian citizen who had raped a citizen and attempted to rape another citizen, organized the operational structures to carry out detailed checks in the territory where the 45-year-old was suspected of hiding.

After continuous searches, in the late hours of yesterday evening, the operational structures of the Vlora Local Police Directorate made it possible to capture the citizen Spartak Dyrmishi, 45 years old, a resident of Vlora.

Given that this citizen has expressed his desire to surrender to the Greek Police, in the early hours of this morning, the Albanian Police handed him over to the Kakavije Border Crossing Point.

During a communication at midnight, between the Director General of the State Police, Major Muhamet Rrumbullaku, and the Director General of the Greek Police, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Skoumas, the cooperation and very professional response of the Albanian Police was appreciated.

The Director of the Greek Police, Konstantinos Skoumas, has thanked the Director of the Albanian Police, for the commitment and continuous communications carried out these days, for the immediate response and professional actions of the Albanian Police, which affect the even greater increase in credibility from counterparts, strengthening the cooperation between the parties, as well as increasing the image of the Albanian Police, internationally.
