The village of Hasturkas in the Libofshë Administrative Unit, Fier Municipality, has been affected by flooding due to increased flows of the Seman River.
The flows were so numerous that they breached the embankment in 3-4 places.
Residents of the area are facing water that has entered the yards of their homes and blocked the roads, making traffic and daily life difficult.
A citizen from Libofsha has spoken about the dramatic situation her village is experiencing after the recent floods. She says her husband and son are trapped in the flooded area and she has not been able to contact them.
"I have my son and husband there, leave the sheep and come here. I haven't contacted them, I have their phones. I don't know how they are doing. I want to go and see them, please let me go," the concerned citizen says.
Residents have made efforts to save their possessions, but the high water level makes this almost impossible.
According to residents and evidence collected from the field, the floods were caused by heavy rainfall and the overflow of drainage channels, which were unable to cope with the large volumes of water.
The village's roads are blocked, hindering the movement of vehicles and emergency assistance, while some families remain isolated.
