Arben Kraja is about to leave his post as the head of SPAK, opening the race for the new head of the Special Prosecutor's Office. Today, the first meeting of the High Prosecution Council is expected to take place, which is also expected to start the race for the new head of the Special Prosecution. 

The head of KLP, Alfred Balla, said that the current leader, Arben Kraja, ends his mandate on December 18 and as an obligation the council must open 3 months before the competition. On December 19, the new leader takes office and Kraja remains SPAK's prosecutor, since as a prosecutor the mandate is 9 years, while as a leader he is elected every 3 years. The head of SPAK does not have the right to re-election, he enjoys only 1 mandate.

There are three candidates who have shown interest, they are prosecutors Edvin Kondili, Klodian Braho, Andand Xholi.
