The appeal of the Special Court has upheld the measure of arrest in prison for the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, and has not changed the measure for his wife, Monika Kryemadhi, for "compulsion to appear".

At the end of the Appeal session of the JJKKO, Kryemadhi accused SPAK prosecutors, saying that they deliberately falsified the documents charging him and Meta with corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets.

Kryemadhi said that SPAK has no intention of fighting either organized crime or corruption, drawing attention to the Port of Durrës, which according to her is the gateway for cocaine in the country and has influence on both the Ministry of the Interior and SPAK.

"I want to emphasize that, of course, the methodology, the professionalization of SPAK prosecutors, was at the level of a first-year law student. The documents show malicious falsifications by the prosecutors, the analysis not done by SPAK turns out to maliciously falsify our wealth declarations, which I will explain to you tomorrow.
